Everybody's A Suspect: A Scream (1996) Fan Zine

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a zine?

A zine (short for fan magazine) is a magazine made by fans of a particular performer, group, or form of entertainment. In this case, fans of Scream.

Who runs this?

As of right now, just one person. I'm Rats, and I love Scream. I noticed a lack of fanzines for it, so I'm doing this now. This is my first time organising a zine, although I have participated in zines for several fandoms. I hope to make this zine a fun and safe space for everyone!

Is this zine physical or digital?

Digital.
While I would love for this zine to be physically printed, I am only one person, and I don't have the ability to print or mail it. If I continue to organise this zine in the future, I will see about adding mods and switching to physical.

Is this zine free or paid?

Because I am unfamiliar with finance, this zine will be free.
If I ever get a finance mod in the future, I would love to have it paid with the proceeds going to charity.

What is this zine's rating?

Since this zine is for all fans of Scream, it will be non-explicit. Don't do anything more extreme than was shown in the movie!

What kind of content is allowed?

Fanfiction (including poetry), digital art, comics. Physical art may be allowed if quality scans are taken. Cosplay and photography are not allowed due to issues of privacy. No AI image or text generators are allowed.

Which characters/ships are allowed?

You may make art of any characters that show up in Scream (1996). Ships (both canon and headcanon) are allowed as long as you keep it legal. OCs and crossovers are not allowed.

How many contributors will there be?

That is yet to be decided.

I am writing. What should my wordcount be?

Since poetry is allowed, there is no minimum. The maximum is 3500 words.

I am drawing. What should the size and format be?

Single pages should be 5.5" x 8.5" in portrait orientation.
Double-page spreads should be 8.5" x 11"
All digital artwork must use RGB colour profile and be 350 DPI.
All artwork must be .png files

I am making a comic. How many pages should it be?

Comics may be up to 4 pages.
